--name<name>

Gives the session a display name, shown in /resume and in the terminal title.

What the documentation does not say

A named session can be resumed by that name, which is easier to type than an ID. If another live session on the machine already holds the name, Claude Code quietly uses a variant of it. /rename changes it mid-session.
