AI content labeling
Marking content that a model produced, so a reader and a machine can both tell — required in the EU for synthetic media under Article 50 of the AI Act.
Two things are asked for and they are not the same. The machine-readable part is metadata or a watermark that travels with the file; the human-readable part is a notice the reader actually sees, at the moment they see the content.
Text written with a model and then edited and signed by a person is not in the same category as a synthetic image or voice. Where the line runs is a question of who is responsible for the claim, which is why this site publishes a model-use policy and puts a person's name on every piece.
