Google will switch off Gemini and Search for K-12 student accounts until school admins enable them

Google said on November 3, 2026, that four products will be entirely off for student accounts unless administrators act: Gemini, Gemini Notebook, Gemini in Classroom, and Google Search. A school that keeps AI off also goes without Search, according to a Google executive. No rollout date has been given.
