Google open-sources ML Drift, the GPU engine inside LiteRT, and stops adding features to the TFLite GPU delegate

Google's AI Edge team released ML Drift under the Apache 2.0 license on October 8, 2026. It is the engine that runs on-device models on the GPU in LiteRT, and it also ships as a standalone library. The older TFLite GPU delegate gets no new features from now on, so apps built on it face a migration.

Google's Antigravity SDK can now run agents offline on a local Gemma 4 model

Google added local model support to the Antigravity SDK on September 23, 2026. The first supported setup is Gemma 4 26B A4B running through LiteRT, and Google recommends more than 24 GB of video or unified memory. The SDK can also talk to local servers such as Ollama, LM Studio, and vLLM.
