--enable-auto-mode

Turned on auto mode for the session, before auto mode became part of the standard permission cycle.

This command no longer exists. The entry stays because you still meet it in older guides, in your own notes and in your own scripts, and a list that simply deletes it leaves that question unanswered.

What the documentation does not say

Auto mode now sits in the Shift+Tab cycle by default, so the flag has nothing to enable. A script that still carries it should say --permission-mode auto instead.
